We provide a variety of services from town planning consulting to project and asset management. IS architecture is experienced and knowledgeable in the local planning regulations and can help navigate the complexities of your project through the system and onto site. We also have experience in project management of not only buildings but also asset and coastal infrastructure management. IS architecture is a pre-qualified consultant for Bass Coast and South Gippsland Shire Councils and has worked on variety of public infrastructure as well as private projects.
01 - Masterplan
Phillip Island Village High School
IS architecture was the lead consultant for the Phillip Island Village School Master Plan Project. Isley facilitated and led the Project Working Group (PWG) through a master planning process to envision the future learning needs and educational facilities that the school would require into the future.
The process involved gathering site and educational needs information then leading a series of comprehensive workshops with the PWG exploring site analysis and the opportunities and constraints of the site.
An options analysis followed this stage and Isley assisted the group to refine their preferred option until a final master plan was formally adopted and became the guiding document for the future directions of the school’s built and learning environments.
02 - Project Management
Walkerville Foreshore
Seawall and Streetscape
IS architecture was the project manager to the Walkerville Foreshore Streetscape Project. Aspect Consultants were engaged to undertake the design work for the project and Isley liaised closely with them in order to bring this project to fruition.
IS architecture acted as joint site supervisor during the construction phase working jointly with South Gippsland Shire Council. This project also involved sourcing and working with an artist to create a public artwork for the finished streetscape to create visual interest and connection to the local landscape in which it’s placed.
In this case, local artist Grant Flather was engaged to design, construct and install a Corten artwork and street furniture. IS architecture liaised closely with Grant and the Committee to bring the project to life.

03 - Masterplan
Walkerville North Foreshore
IS architecture was the project manager for this master planning project commissioned by the Walkerville Foreshore Reserve Committee of Management. Tract Consultants were engaged to undertake the masterplan project and IS architecture worked closely with them to formulate a masterplan for the entire Walkerville Foreshore.
This involved gathering not only the Committee’s wishes but also the broader Walkerville community to come to common ground and plan for the future of Walkerville. Teamwork, good communication and careful planning were the key skills in this project.
04 - Planning
Meenyian Community Square
IS architecture has worked with Trulli Outdoors to strategically plan their site at Meeniyan Square. The square is home to various arms of the Trulli business including Meeniyan Pantry and Cellar, Trulli Kitchen, Trulli Outdoors and Trulli Bakehouse. IS architecture has also prepared sketch and detailed design, town planning applications and documentation in order to obtain building permits.
IS architecture has liaised extensively with Council and other various stakeholders to help the client shape the future directions of the Square as a food and entertainment mecca of Meeniyan.
05 - Community Consulting
Meeniyan Community Hub
IS architecture was engaged by South Gippsland Shire Council to work with the Project Working Group to facilitate the community consultation stage of the Meeniyan Community Hub project.
This involved surveying and liaising with the community and key stake holder groups to gather feedback and prepare a Project Brief in order to tender for a design consultant for the next stages of the project.
06 - Coastal Infrastructure
Bass Coast Jetty Renewal
IS architecture worked with Bass Coast Shire Council to project manage the renewal projects of their Newhaven and Grantville jetties.
This involved co ordinating specialist marine and engineering consultants to analyse the condition of the existing jetties and design renewal works to ensure their longer term structural viability and useability for all visitors who enjoy boating, fishing and walking on these jetties.

Bass Coast Shire Council, Wonthaggi, Victoria (July ‘05 – August ‘07)
Assess town planning applications, give planning advice to the general public, represent Council at the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT) and make recommendations to Council regarding the orderly and appropriate planning of the Shire. Assisting in implementing Bass Coast Shire’s planning policies including coastal planning frameworks.
