2021 Future Thinking Lunch Experience Event
A collaboration between Meeniyan architect IS architecture and Meeniyan restaurant Trulli Kitchen held in the local Meeniyan Square. Two award winning architects, Talina Edwards of Talina Edwards Ar- chitecture from Ballarat and Antony Martin of MRTN Architects from Melbourne were the guest speakers. The event was catered by Trulli Kitchen and guests enjoyed a three course sit down lunch of local Gippsland produce in a beautiful marquee setting in Meeniyan Square.
The space was styled in line with the themes of the event including an art installation created by Sarah Parkes of Small Towns. Local musical talent was also on show with the young Aaron Lopez Freeman singing and playing guitar. The event coincided with Melbourne Design Week and explored the future of design practice and ideas in architecture and the built environment.
Topics included future thinking in design, environmentally sensitive design such as Passivhaus standard and biophilic design principles as well as local con- siderations when building in South Gippsland. By connecting our guests to our local producers and talent, we hope to build beautiful memories, foster meaningful relationships, and enable our guests to explore a new appreciation for food in every moment.
